Sugar Plummeth...

Some relations we bring with us...
Some others we forge...
Some remain so distant, yet ever so close...

It's not everyday that you find a mirror image of yourself in a person less crazy but just as paranoid. To say that she is a friend would be a gross under-statement... We could have been twins and the world wouldn't have noticed. The specs prove this point so well, it's uncanny!

Kri is dearer than a sister and an impeccable chocolateur. So much so that I single-handedly devoured the first batch of her home-cooked chocolates after a hearty breakfast. And asked for more...
Check out these lip-smacking cubes of pure brown bliss at https://www.facebook.com/sugarplumchocolate
She chose the path of sanity in her quest for craziness while I took the road less traveled. Somehow, we ended up at the same place. Our interests (and squabbles) echoed through the silent Hibiscus, ridding the place of its afternoon drudgery for a couple of hours.
Perhaps, no one hates me more than she, judging by her favourite slang 'Shut up!' still ringing in my ears (36 hours later!). Nevertheless, she exhausted her entire home-cooked chocolate for my return journey home. We never needed to be formal because we are way too honest. Her advice would usually drive me up a wall, but rest assured that it would have pure wisdom and genuine concern. Helped largely in breaking my own sad, personal shell!
We needn't keep in touch for years because I know that nothing will change. Apart from her unstoppable weight, everything is just about the same for the past 11 years.
And though she claims to be a human being, I know she's more of a guardian angel :-)
Totally lacks measurable intelligence though, for she realises a turn on the road only after driving across it, twice!
She supports wackiness in a way that makes it seem normal. It feels natural to go nuts with her. And judging by her hubby's anxious theatrics, I bet she found her perfect match in the towering 6' plus package. Though his heart-felt terror is undeniable, they complete one another and balance is restored :-D
May God gift them blessings and never take their insanity away!

Her name signifies an open star cluster most obvious to the human eye in the night sky. And even though I know but naught about astronomy, it's safe to state that she's a shining star in her own right, oblivious to banality.
I will be returning in the not-so-distant future Kri, before my box runs out...

P.S.- If you love chocolates, you go to her! If you like chocolates, you go to her! If you wanna experience hazel-nut cream in a thick shell of chocolaty smoothness, you go to her! If you are a seasoned critic and/or a hard-headed cynic, you go to her!

Invincible truth!!

As a young lad, once Subroto Roy Sahara was yelling at the washer-man for ruining a pair of his favourite jeans. His father, late Sudhir Chandra Roy, overheard him and came over. After listening to his son, he told his son to apologise to the washer-man... Later, his father explained to him the reason behind it. He said,"You only have a right to criticise somebody when you have the ability to do the very same work better than them. Only then can you question their shortcomings! And since you are no good when it comes to washing your laundry, you had no right to yell at the washer-man that way."

godlyk Gokarna..

Its time to leave for Gokarna, bags packed and all... We reach the railway station and scoot about here and there, wondering where our train is halting and why isnt the announcement being made??!! Upon enquiry, it turns out that that particular train isnt gonna show up and that we have been fooled, once more, by the Indian Railways. Heads down, red-faced, we finally decide on going by bus, a full 5-hours journey through the foothills of Goa and Kanataka. Luckily, we all got seats at the back..
