Been too long... I ran out of ideas on what to write about until someone pointed out rather courteously that I should stop being a wannabe and a loser! God bless you nutter, whoever you are.. And may he give you some courage so that next time, you can say it unanonymously.
The bad tests are over, though the worst is yet to come. We had a hellish week, studying for most part of the night in order to be able to write just for an hour in the morning. In the words of Paulie, it takes guts to climb back into that ring when you know you are gonna take a beating!! :D

Day after day, the same old grind began without any mercy from either the books or the weather. Why, it's scorching at night… The bed bugs don’t help either.
Looking forward, there’s the much-awaited farewell of our 2009 batch. This is the one day in whole of our academic term at college when guys and girls, known or unknown, happily pose for pics with each other without feeling shy or guilty about it. Who knows when are we gonna see these faces in the crowd again?! So this day ensures that we etch those memories for nostalgic moments afterwards.
There’s also the rush to beg/buy/rent formals. The posters from tailors all over Goa are already put up in the mess. And they have every brand from Rupa to Raymonds available. April 15 could easily be the most memorable day for us and painful for others! :P
One fine morning in May, we will all get up with a smile on our face, having completed the most important (read boring) courses of engineering. And though the journey has been anything but smooth, it was a fun riot throughout. What with those countless reports, the sad tests, the boring experiments and morning classes.
I often ask myself – What is it about me that has changed so that I would be called a mechanical engineer few months from now?
And I answer vaguely- Though my knowledge quotient has certainly gone downhill in most respects (as my grades prove time and again), my attitude towards life has changed. Today, I can take criticism in a better spirit than that 3 years ago.
In many ways, the work of a critic is very easy. They risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer their work and their selves up for judgement. Whether they evaluate with their minds or hearts is another matter… But the bitter truth that every critic must accept is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful that criticism designating it so.
Most of these lines are from Ratatouille, but they hide a great depth of meaning. Everything is subjective.
Everyone's a self-acclaimed critic these days. Finding faults is the new "in" thing and we are certainly following it up.
The other day, someone asked me why I don't delete the rude comments. For that, I have simple enough reasons. Firstly, I dont really take offence unless its from someone important and/or close to me. Those who dont have anything else to do start yanking others' leg. Secondly, if at all there's some meaning behind that pile of shit, I have to accept it upfront. Nothing wrong with people finding out about my dark side.
At some point of time, one has to retaliate.. If a guy from my corridor becomes a big nuisance, I m not gonna sit and watch. I will do what I think is right. So what it isn't according to everyone's taste? I hardly give a damn!
All those who pass judgement on others should do well to stay out of it. Because taking sides in a battle isn't wrong as long as you are convinced that you are on the right side. The spectators are the most sadistic people in the world, for they want to be entertained and righteous at the same time!!! :x

Invincible truth!!

As a young lad, once Subroto Roy Sahara was yelling at the washer-man for ruining a pair of his favourite jeans. His father, late Sudhir Chandra Roy, overheard him and came over. After listening to his son, he told his son to apologise to the washer-man... Later, his father explained to him the reason behind it. He said,"You only have a right to criticise somebody when you have the ability to do the very same work better than them. Only then can you question their shortcomings! And since you are no good when it comes to washing your laundry, you had no right to yell at the washer-man that way."

godlyk Gokarna..

Its time to leave for Gokarna, bags packed and all... We reach the railway station and scoot about here and there, wondering where our train is halting and why isnt the announcement being made??!! Upon enquiry, it turns out that that particular train isnt gonna show up and that we have been fooled, once more, by the Indian Railways. Heads down, red-faced, we finally decide on going by bus, a full 5-hours journey through the foothills of Goa and Kanataka. Luckily, we all got seats at the back..
